Alot of people have been asking...so here is my guide for streaming with the Microsoft Xbox 360 console from you Windows-Based PC.
This is a quick guide for people trying to stream files through there pc to xbox 360. Many people have trouble finding the right folders to put it in so here is a little tutorial.
First, sort and place your designated files into My Video, My Music, or My Pictures. These folders are in My Documents.
After you have done that, make sure you have updated your Windows Media Player to WMP 11.
When this is done, you will see that the file, view, and other control bars are missing. This might confuse you but most of the options you use are now available to you in a more accessible way.
Now you will click on the arrow that is pointing down from Library. Click on Media Sharing.
When you are connected to the internet with your computer and 360, this will pop up and should automatically accept it.
Now that you have done this, you shouldn’t need to do ANYTHING else with WMP. This means you do not have to open it or anything to see your files on your 360.
WMP11 Works better than most programs because it is already on your computer so it does not take additional space like other media sharing programs. Also, Zune turns your files into Zune files so it is harder for other computers to read.
If you have any trouble with my description please PM me.
