Microsoft recently released the new xBox dashboard! So far there is nothing visually wrong with it, it looks good, and its easy to navigate through.

Despite this, some people have been reporting problems with downloading the update. A common problem is that the user is told their Internet connection had problems, and that they should test it.

The funny thing is, in order to test the connection, you have to have the new update! Damn Microsoft, you keep getting better and better!

So, what do you guys think of the new update? Leave your pro's and cons in the thread. Maybe even post a way to bypass the connection problem and download the update?

It said I had connection problems, I just signed out then signed in and tried downloading again and it worked fine. One thing I have to say is, the voice quality noticeably better, but some people have this weird electronic noise to their voice that I can't describe any better.

Rubbish, i want the old dashboard back.

I think they both are okay. Like I only look at it for a few sec's before COMW2 lol!

im still encountering problems wit the update.

If you have problems.....
(1)Try removing the Ethernet cord and start the xbox. Then turn it off plug the Ethernet back in and turn it back on, if that don't work try number 2

(2)Go to your primary storage as in HDD, Memory Card, or the System and highlight that device, dont go into it!
Okay from there hit LB RB X twice then it should prompt you with instructions fallow them and the xbox should restart and ask if you want to do an update then try there.

If that don't work then I tried.

These are the steps I had to do when I got my new Slim and it wouldn't update and I had problems.

it worked

The new dash sucks balls.
-It seems a though the sound quality as increased however now some people have some sort of electronic echo to this voices.
-You can't change themes anymore.
- After updating everything seems slow(my own xbox as froze twice already)
- All the icons and the white interface screen can hurt your eyes.

I'm having no problems with it, however I did get that "internet" problem and all I had to do was retry it and it successfully downloaded the update.

What my cousin and I noticed was that it makes your avatar look different, like some of it's clothes are gone. Anyone else have this problem?
