(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); 2 days ago, i get on xbox the first time in a week. I had to download the new dashboard and everything. So when it was all said and done, it restarted. When i signed onto xbox live however, I noticed that all my friends had been deleted. Not only that, but I could not join parties, send friend requests, or send regular messages. Then I tried to play online on MW2, apparently my profile is not allowed to play on xbox live. Also tried to get on xbox.com, i was able to get on. But i was still unable to send messages or anything of that sort.

Once this happened, called microsoft to see what the problem was. I was on the phone with the IT guys for nearly 3 hours. Then when everything was said and done, the problem was still not fixed. The only thing they could tell me was I should make a new account (I've put at least 100$ into the affected account). They also put in the possibility that I've been banned, but I have not received any sort of confirmation of that (like an e-mail, or a phone call).

I was just wondering if anyone else was having the same problem, or if they were able to resolve it. Let me know!

Try deleting and recovering your gamertag, solves 95% of account-related problems.

well i did try that, but same thing is still happening. Some people are telling me I've been banned but I have not received any confirmation of that sort.

I've heard from someone that after the update they were unpermabanned. o_o I don't know about your problem though, it didn't happen to me or anyone else I know.

Well I don't see how you could be banned. When I got banned for a day(stupid reason)I couldn't even log on my account and I didn't get a notice till like a day after I was able to log back on lol.
