a fan is a good option, but just a heads up when i got rrod the game froze about 6 times before it showed up. Not saying you've got it but i think a fan is a wise investment as it makes a huge difference. good luck Smile

screw the intercoolers and fans theyre useless......a friend of mines a console hardware specialist for a games testing company and he seems to think as long as theres plenty of ventilation for the xbox and the power brick it will help keep it cool more than the coolers. ive never had rrod and mines basically surrounded by nothing and in a well ventilated room

No offence but your friend is being stupid. The fan obviously makes the xbox cooler its a fact. I can tell the difference. i have played my xbox for 3 hours with and without a fan and the xbox doesnt even get hot when it has a fan due to it circulating the air. My xbox isnt at all covered and without a fan gets red hot. I had the rrod after about 5 months of play, since having the fan ive played no less and ive been playing for about 9 months now problem free.

Also sorry to hear that 07, not really surprised because freezing shortly after beginning to play is a common sign for rrod. Well gl with your new one Smile
