You could use a USB stick 16gb is the max for 1 USB on 360 for 32gb if you have 2

Yeah, I'm getting the new one, but i'm trading my old on in first. So, I need somewhere to keep all my data until I can transfer it to the new one.

If you have a transfer cable for the old hard drives you could back up your whole hard drive to your computer, then use a USB to transfer it from your PC to the new xbox. You'd have to do it more than once though, and if you have a lot of stuff you need to transfer that could take a while... lol

How do I back it up?

I'm pretty sure Modio has an option to back up the whole drive somewhere.
