Do I make you horny?
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have a vent error on my xbox where it says it doesn't have enough ventilation. I know for a fact it does. It doesn't give me an error code or anything. If anyone knows how to fix this, i will be grateful.

Could you go into more detail? When you turn on your xbox what does it do? Does it give you a screen that says something on it? I'm not entirely sure what a vent error is. Are you talking about the 3 RRoD? I need some more information before I am able to help.

From what I've gathered online according to other sources the vent error you are talking about is the 2 Red Rings?

Two Red Flashing Lights
If your Xbox 360 is displaying two flashing lights, this means it is overheating. One of the main things to look out for is whether or not your vent is being obstructed. The vent is located on the back of the machine and is responsible for releasing the hot air built up in the system. Make sure hot air is blowing out of this vent. If it isn't, check to make sure the fan inside the vent is spinning and isn't clogged up with debris. Also, make sure your Xbox 360 is in a well-ventilated area and not confined in a small enclosure. It also is a good idea to make sure your system is not placed on a bed or any other soft surface that could obstruct the vent or cause heat buildup.

If it isn't this let me know. I can't really help unless I know the full extent of the situation.

Yeah, its the 2 rings, but it has plenty of ventilation and is not on any cloth

Here's some more information I found:

It's high likely that you have to open up your console and fix the problem, but there are some tips around where it's not necessary to open up your console. To fix the Xbox 360 2 red rings, you could do 4 things without open up your console.

1) Restart your console.
2) Check for loose cables.
3) Unplug all cables, and get them back in.
4) Take out the hard-drive and get it back in. This needs to be repeated for a couple of times.

If these tips didn't fix your Xbox 360 2 red rings, than you've got to open up your console. You could do this quite easily with a little help from the repair guide.

When you do this yourself, it requires some effort. Although, time flies, and so does your repair. Before you know it, you will be playing your favorite game again with your friends.

It's highly recommended to get yourself a repair guide. This is because it gives you exclusive step by step instructions that's coming along with detailed photo's. Why don't you check it out yourself? Visit: You must login or register to view this content.

From the looks of everything that I have read you will probably have to open it up and repair it. If that is to much trouble I guess you could send it to Microsoft. :( Although I've never sent my console to Microsoft because I think that it is a waste of time. I just bought a new one.

I just opened a out of warranty one that a friend gave me.
two red lights does mean overheating and that's easily fixed.
just open it up remove xclamps and put some new thermal past on the gpu and cpu.
and while your in their replace the xclamps and maybe get a more powerful fan.

BUT check to see if your xbox is under warranty FIRST.

if it isn't and you need some help quote this and I'll find some links that helped me.
two days ago I had never opened an xbox and now I can do it in under 5min and I know my way around the inside better than using it lol. I play ps3 not xbox, I just tried fixing the xbox.
