Try deleting the gamertag off the harddrive, then recovering it. To recover it make sure you know the email and password. If it keeps saying that to me it sounds like the HDD is corrupted, not sure though. But call Microsoft if it keeps happening.

Well the Xbox just got repaired and I recovered the gamertag. Might have to call xbox like you said and see what is wrong. thx
