Wierd, When I lay it on side it goes on top and lay straight it goes on side.

Which side? Also can I get the error code? How do you do this? well turn on the xbox, and hit and hold the sync button. Then hit the eject button 4-5 times. The leds on the xbox should be going like 1-4-5-6, something like that. Wright that code down and post it back. I mean its nothing that a rebal can fix....

Can i ask is why would the towel trick work as the 360 gets RRoD from over heating ? and the towel trick is making it heat up more

it basicly gets so hot that the cpu and gpu overheat then strengthen the bond to the board basicly reflowing the solder
