Post: Everything you need to know about Homefront Multiplayer
03-25-2011, 11:27 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi guys, here is just about everything you need to know about the recently released game, Homefront, and it's multiplayer aspects.

Weapons:

-Assault Rifles

~M4 (Level 1) - Given to you from the beginning of the multiplayer experience, the M4, commonly used by the armed forces, is a first time gamer's best choice due to it's low recoil, high accuracy, and high fire rate.

~ACR (Level 3) - Completely unlike Modern Warfare 2, the ACR is VERY powerful, however lacks
accuracy with a very high recoil; if you can bare with that, this weapon will be a much better fit than the M4

~SCAR-L (Level 14) - Unlocked after another 11 levels, you unlock the SCAR-L which is a typical 3 round burst fire gun, highly accurate and can get the job done. Similar to the M16 in Call of Duty 4, 6, and 7.

~M16 (Level 27) - The M16 in Homefront is a semi-automatic, pretty good for long distance and ideal for a gamer who doesn't like being in the face of action. The M16 can easily take out an
opponent in a few shots.

~T3AK (Level 40) - this Chinese version of the AK-47 is more effective in medium and short range, unlike the M16 and SCAR-L, and dishes out some decent damage.

~XM10 (Level 46) - A gun supposedly developed in the campaign around 2018, which lost it's
funding and never made it to combat, however some prototypes were released (just a little bit of background information). It's a light weight assault rifle decent for all types of combat and can take out light armor vehicles.

-Sub Machine Guns

~PWS Diablo (level 1) - The PWS closely resembles the M4 but is shorter and lighter, more for
close range shooting. Not a bad starting SMG and ideal for running and gunning.

~Super 5 (Level 9) - Also known as the TDI Vector, the Super 5 is a typical SMG and has a very low recoil, providing excellent accuracy at short ranges.

-Light Machine Guns

~M249 (Level 1) - One of the primary weapons in the armed forces, the M249 can be catastrophic
because of it's 100 round clip size and heavy damage output. It reminds me of the RPD and although others complain, I don't see much recoil.

~SCAR-H (Level 32) - An MG variant of the SCAR coming equipped with a high-capacity 75-round twin drum magazine and a vertical fore grip for long range shooting.

-Sniper Rifles

~M110 (Level 1) - A U.S made Sniper rifle with 3X scope and 10 round detachable magazine. This
gas operated semi automatic sniper rifle can be lethal if you know some great spots to
bird watch in between kills.

~M200 (Level 19) - A variant of CheyTac Intervention. Just like M110, this bolt action sniper is ideal for long range stealth based kills.

-Downloadable Guns

~870 Express Shotgun - A pump-action shotgun widely used by law enforcement and civillians.
Deadly to anyone at close range but obviously harmless at long distances. It accepts a variety of optics with a tactical rail on the top of the gun.

Vehicles:

Vehicles can be upgraded with the use of in-game battle points which I will talk about in a bit.

~AH-64 Apache - In multiplayer mode, this heavy armored helicopter can fire 6 missiles at ground targets. Second seat can be occupied by another teammate who will take control of the thermal chain gun.

~AH-700 Scout - light armored chopper available for both the factions (Korean and American). Although it is faster then AH-64, it’s light armor will make it vulnerable to heavy machine guns and rockets. It is equipped with under wing machine guns and can be effective against infantry and light vehicles. In PC version, this vehicle will have a second seat for one other teammate.

~MQ-60 AT - This drone vehicle is mounted with 4 barrel missile launcher. It is an anti tank vehicle with both guided and unguided fire modes.

~MQ50 MG Wolverine - This drone is supplied with a machine gun that is effective against infantry. It is vulnerable to frag grenades and EMP attacks.

~M1151 - It’s a fast anti-air transport vehicle. Attached machine guns are effective against infantry and light armored air vehicles.

~M1A3 Abrams - the main battle tank of the game. The tank’s heavy armor can maintain enemy attacks for longer periods. This tank is used by Americans.

~T-99 MBT - Secondary weapon of this tank is a 12.7mm heavy machine gun. Armor of this tank is relatively weaker than Abrams’ tank.

~Z-10 Chimera - This is a multipurpose chopper effective against armored vehicles and infantry. It can also be used for escort purposes. It is heavily armored like the “Apache” and has a second seat for the gunner.
