Climbing up the ladder
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I just got component cables to go with my HD PVR. I hooked it up and it is not fullscreen. I put it to 1080i and its not fullscreen and if I try 720p it also is not fullscreen. So I was wondering if component cables can put out fullscreen.

I used to use a HDMI cable and it was fullscreen. But since HDMI cables dont work with HD PVR's I have to use component and it looks funny with big black bars on the side of my TV.

PS: Yes, the switch is switched to HDTV

do you have a component input on your TV ? cause thats what i play on with my cables of course. mine comes out full screen. are the black bars like on the top and bottom like a widescreen movie or is it on the sides. last thing i would check is that you have the wires correctly placed

you may have to stretch the image out using your tv remote. Black ops does this if I play split screen with a friend. It puts the black bars on the side of the tv, when I stretch the image on the tv, it fixes it. So maybe you can try that.
