Now that Homefront has been out for some time, I thought I'd share my thoughts for those who are still considering getting it.

What's Good About the Game?
First of all, Homefront takes you into new levels of customizations. You can select from a variety of different red dot sights, holographic sights, and more. Not only that, you can add special vehicles to your class, similar to killstreaks, that will become available once you receive enough Battle Points to get them.

This brings me to the next cool feature of Homefront, Battle Points. Battle Points are acquired by completing team-related activities (ex. Kills, Capturing a Flag, Marking People with the Drone, etc.) Personally, I like the Battle Points system over killstreaks only because you can get Battle Points from helping your team rather than just going for kills.

The last good thing about this game is he fact that it takes a play from EA's Battlefield series and incorporates vehicles into large multiplayer maps.

What's Bad About this Game?
Let's start of with the campaign. First off, I beat the entire campaign on the first day I got this game. It was extremely short, predictable, and the graphics were nothing amazing. Throughout the entire campaign, you feel as though it's building up to a great ending but however, you will most likely end up disappointed.

Overall, the graphics disappointed me. Compared to Call of Duty and Battlefield's Graphics, it was like they held back for some reason.

Gameplay problems in the game's multiplayer really annoyed me. For the first week this game came out, the Xbox version was plagued with beacon errors, parties getting separated, and the inability to connect to dedicated servers. Along with that, there is a huge advantage for snipers. Almost every single map has rooftops or hills for them to hide that overlook the entire map. Combine that with a one-shot weapon and you'll see the problem. The last problem I encountered was just plain stupid. If an enemy is driving a Humvee, you CANNOT kill him by shooting through the window. I'd have to destroy the entire vehicle. It just makes it a bit too powerful with the driver being able to quickly switch to the turret and mow you down.

Conclusion
While Homefront attempts to combine Call of Duty and Bad Company, it has some serious set backs. I'd recommend you try this game before you buy it to see if you like it. If you don't like it, stick to Call of Duty or try Battlefield.

My rating: 6.9/10

I agree with everything you said. Also, do you have any connection problems? I just can't get a good connection in this game. I feel stupid buying this game, if you want a good game buy Crysis 2 listening to the reviews it seems like a superb game. And, if you are wondering why I thanked his post, it's because I can see that he put a lot of time and effort into this, and that is all that matters Winky Winky

I have connection problems still but it got better after the last patch. Normally it takes me about 5 minutes to connect to the game mode on dedicated servers.

Save Point
I bought this game about a week ago and the connection problem, party being separated and having it freeze all the time were my major issues with the game but they seem to be fixed with the 1.03 patch and none of these problems seem to happen anymore and the connection in game is much much better compared to before patch and i think they worked out most of the bugs that were the reasons why most people didn't like it
