No the slim is not able to get red ring. If it over heats, a message will pop up and then turn off. so if you leave it on all night it will probably shut off if it overheats. and it almost never overheats with 3 fans on it. bottom, top, and side.

False. No Xbox 360 has three fans and none overheat in an open space, ie not in a cupboard.

The new slim has one large fan that pulls hot air out and yes it can get the green/red dot of death due to constant heat overtime like the PS3 gets YLOD around 3 years of usage.
