(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello Guys.
I have just came on my xbox 360 for the first time in about a week or two and I came onto mw2 and played some S'n'Awesome face. I noticed that every lobby I got in was hacked and they all had multi-coloured text on the left side of the screen. Half way through a game I heard a guy say "Hey I heard the phisers and hackers were back". After that another guy said "Yeah, Do not open any messages you receive from anyone you don't know as they can obtain your ID info". I thought this was a joke at first then I realized that I receiving a large amount of messages within a small amount of time. At least 14 Messages were received in 5 minutes. After I had opened all them messages, read and replied to them all I thought back to what one of the guys said and signed out as quickly as possible before I received any more messages. When I signed back in I went back onto mw2 and looked at my title and emblem and killstreaks and realized they were all changed and also noticed that I had friends added and others deleted from my friends list. This is when I realized it was true. So...To all you guys thinking this is old and it is all outdated, Beware.
Thanks for reading and remember to keep this in mind for any suspicious messages you receive.
Thanks

Phishers are on the internet... not on Xbox Live. They are websites created to steal personal information that look exactly like legitimate websites such as Facebook or Myspace, only they'll have a different URL.

If you were hacked, you most likely gave out your email address and password for your gamertag somewhere down the line.

Just for a heads up, don't believe everything you hear, and don't ever give out your email address or password. Not even the Microsoft Tech support will ask for your password.

Lol, funny stuff. I guarantee that you're not going to be hacked just by opening up a message. Even if they had your IP, they still would not be able to hack you're account. 99% of the people that get there account hacked are retards that fall for "Free MSP Scams". Now "Stepto", he got hacked, "Major Nelson", his account got stolen due to social engineering, but your account? I doubt anyone would spend there time to SE for your account, just don't be stupid and go entering your Peronal Info everywhere and you'll be fine.
