Another one already .. the slim came out not so long ago. They probably trying to compete more against sony since they realized that sonys going to be down for awhile and Microsoft could make some extra cash.

unless psn is gonna be down til the end of 2012, i doubt it. they are probably trying to compete with nintendo, since they are also coming out with a new product.

Well if MS are still scheduling to release it on 2015 to compete with PS4 then this may be a good move.

If these prototypes survive 3-4 years of constant gaming, then one less thing to worry about, ie RROD, on release date.
