Who would want Ep3 when we can have HL3, plus there wont be a new engine source engine can be updated all the dam time its that good of a engine they will use it for ages. Its now 6 years old i think and they used it in Portal 2 so this shows that it is still a great engine to use.
But back to the point i dont think we will see a new HL annouced for another year because valve are/have been working on Portal 2 and Dota 2, but what am i to know untill E3

Gabe Newell: Overweight and is prejudice against consoles..well he was.
Valve: They make quality games and lets not forget, HL:2 took 6 years to make.
