More than likely, but I've never really had that problem, you just need a better internet connection, or he/she does.

i know when i had ps3 it was distance but now i have xbox and i started playing with these 5 guys from the uk a few days ago on WaW an i had no trouble at all so i would say someones internet isnt very good

It's multiple factors such as lag and connection speed but sometimes it is harder to connect to people in a different country.

yeh i figured it would be something to do with my internet. but hopefully getting an upgrade soon

it could be yr router or internet connection wat u shud do is try wired connection if it dont work then it yr connection or his/her

you have told him to try a wired connection, which is helpful(in a way)

then you have said if it doesn't work it's EITHER his or the other persons connection i think he knows that because what the chances of losing a connection because your next door neighbour is having a shower??

In some ways.
It only lags between the two. Both of you need to edit your NAT on your motem and then you'll be able to connect.

It may for example if you get an error about open nat or anything then its your connection/router
