Well, you need a good ping to your ISP's servers. Then you need good bandwidth, I get 10Mbps Download and 1MBps Upload speed. It also depends on the hosts connection if he has good bandwidth and is close to you. Ping is the most important part, low ping= good connection (4 bar) high ping= bad connection (1/2 bar). To get a low ping you have to be near the host. For example, I live in the middle of the Mediterranean sea, close to no land what so ever. I get a constant 3 bar when connecting to a game on mainland Europe or the UK. But if I lived in the UK and the host was a UK host, most probably you would get 4bar. To get a better connection you will have to upgrade your bandwidth to a decent speed and also in Black Ops Multiplayer Menu press Select/Back and set your connetion to "Locale" or "Locale Only."

I think its fiber optic. It's supposed to be slow compared to google as an ISP. They're offering 1 GB D/L! So do games work with both d/l and u/l? Like what I said earlier in the thread? Or is ping the only thing that matters?
