i already finished burning the first disc... and tried playing it on xbox 360 it boots up then suddenly goes back to the dashboard

well i always burn games and play it on my xbox.
i used imgburn to burn bf3 @ 2.4x speed. how do i update to the latest dashboard?
i dont have xbox live, any other way?

You'll want to disregard what I said because I assumed you had a legal copy of the game and were attempting to install it to the hdd. I cannot help with what you are actually doing. My apologies.

i did until he said that it would say play game but pressing Y wouldnt do anything, if pressing Y does nothing then he cant install it to HDD

its either not burnt right, or he doesnt even have LT+2.0

LT+2.0 is the firmware that needs to be on your drive, when did you last have it flashed?

seriously, read up on the 360firmware scene if you have a flashed drive

get yourself on atleast 13599, LT+2.0, an iHAS124 or up to iHAS624 burner and install PC Max firmware onto the burner then burn the game at 2.4x and verify it after burning onto verbatim media
