i already finished burning the first disc... and tried playing it on xbox 360 it boots up then suddenly goes back to the dashboard
any ideas?

I believe you still have to have the disk you installed to the HDD in the console for it to play. This is for verification reasons.

If this is not the problem, let me know.

What happens is that you install the data from disk 1 to the hard drive. However, in order to play that game you just installed, you must have disk 1 inserted in the console. You cannot have disk 1 installed and then try to play it while you have disk 2 in the console or no disk installed.

Okay so here's the problem
my disc 1 is on my xbox right?
it only says "play game"
and when i tried to press "Y" nothing happens.

So, to be clear, you have Disc 1 installed on the Xbox Hard Drive and have Disc 1 inserted in the disc drive and cannot launch the game?

I hope when you say you are burning the game, it means you are actually burning it to disc and have a 360 flashed to LT+2.0, also using one of the liteon iHAS drives to burn with PC Max installed, on verbatim media (i know you can use others but stop being stingy) and verifying it after burning for 100%

P.S campaign is on disc 2, multiplayer and HD texture pack on disc 1

I assumed he meant installing the disc data to the hdd. I suppose I misread his question. I cannot help him if he is trying it in any other way.
