Here is what the article says..

"Good news, haters of arbitrary online currencies! The end for Microsoft's confusing "Points" system may be near, if a report on Inside Mobile Apps is to be believed.

The mobile site claims that Microsoft's Points will be "phased out" by the end of 2012, with transactions to be listed in a user's local currency instead.

The move wouldn't just impact Xbox Live, it would affect the Zune Marketplace and Windows Phone users as well.

One has to wonder, given the timing of the (potential and unconfirmed) move, whether the spate of Xbox Live account break-ins is behind the change.

We've contacted Microsoft for comment, and will update if we hear back."

What do you guy's think? Do you think they cause confusion? Do you think it would be better to bring in the money system instead of points?

MS points are fine. They don't need to change things that don't need changing

i hope we can just keep microsoft points. if they change there will be a new "Bug" and just cause shit.

I personally think that they should keep the Microsoft points.

i hate msp. i like how you can actually use money on pen instead cuz then you don't have to spend extra for unwanted points

Although I do not like microsoft points in general, due to many reasons (below) I feel if they shift to no more microsoft points, they allow those of us WITH microsoft points a full refund, or grandfather EVERY dlc or item in so they can be purchased with MSP. My friend has over 10,000 MSP on his account (Not legit :carling But still, he has it. For them to say "Your 10,000 MSP worth $150 yesterday is worth $0.00 today :dumb: is just stupid. I do, howevor, prefer paying with cash/credit card over buying microsoft points in the long run, as you won't get stuck with those little useless 100 MSP like factors. You cant buy anything for 100 msp, you cant even buy anything for a game for less then 400 these days

True, hackers seem to be able to do more and more things nowadays, not good at all..
