you useally would buy a DLC through xbl with microsoft points, it seems COD got smart and cut out the middleman here.

yeah this map is only for the people who got premium cod elite on the xbox, then later to elite ps3, then for the rest of the users. The rest of the users would use a PSN card/ MSP card to buy the maps, but since elite Premium members bought CoD elite, they get the maps for free.

This is just a trailer, they aren't gonna stop using Microsoft points. CoD Elite Premium users are getting free content not everyone. Others have to buy it.
