(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); hi people of ngu. just wondering if any kind members could help me out a little here. ok so i just bought 2 xbox 360 original model (ie) first ones out for £40 i also got 20 games, guitars all the usual stuff. well my problem is that 1 of them has the red light of death with 3 red lights when i turn it on and well the other it freezes after 10-15 mins. anyone got any ideas on what i can do or if i would be able to mix and match them so at least one works, any help will be greatly appreciated

If you're not really clued up on the console to begin with, you're going to run into issues fixing the problems you have. Good luck though

3 red lights means theres an issue with your GPU.
A freezing console means theres and issue with your GPU.
Due to this you cannot 'mix and match' its like having 2 of the exact same car but the ignition chamber is screwed on both of them. You will need to invest on fixing your GPU or for my analogies sake the ignition chamber.
The best thing you could do was to have a reball on both consoles and that means they wont get an error like this for another 3-6 years. A cheaper way to fx this but doesnt last no where near aslong is to do the x-clamp fix. If your a complete noob then pay for someone else to do it for you, if you are not then look up the xclamp fix. This should fix the problem for a couple of quid.
