The 2nd way is too call up Xbox and tell them you are wanting to cancel your membership they will ask some irrelevant questions in which you need to answer and then once all is finished they will try and bribe you to stay with them they will do a really good deal just accept they're deal and say thanks and hang up ....

they gave me a year of xbox live and halo reach game for $45

Still silly they charge you for xbox live though. You get the same dang service on ps3 for free I will never understand people actually willing to pay for gold.
