For free, users can check their achievements, stay connected with Xbox LIVE friends, adjust their avatar, compare game progress with friends, access Xbox Spotlight feeds, read the latest Xbox news and more. One of the most requested features, however, was support for the iPad.

The update brings just that! Not only is the app now iPad compatible, the update brought with it many bug fixes and performance enhancements.

In addition to the features listed above, the app has the ability to turn the iPad or other Apple device into a remote. You can play, pause, fast forward and rewind any content you may be watching on your Xbox. The app runs smoothly with a slick interface, and looks great on the iPad's 9.7 inch display.
