As a lot of you read and can see from the picture above, Microsoft could be working on the next innovation for gaming. A holodeck.

Microsoft recently had a patent filed under revolutionary display technology that was referred to as "enviormental display." Patently Apple confirms (via CVG), that this would require a 3D depth camera, in order to keep track of the users' movements. Basically the camera will be an enhanced verison of the Kinect.

The patent also suggests that Microsoft's planned Shutter 3D Glasses could be involved. Now this isn't gonna be that super cool holodeck from all the Sci-Fi shows, but it is a holodeck. I'm not really expecting any official announcments about this being produced for quite some time. (4-7 years).

As usualy, what's you guys' input? What does everyone think?

I don't think they are going to do that any time soon. They have a LOT on their plate at the moment. They have the new dashboard update coming in November, not to mention all the stuff they mentioned in E3. Might be next year or 2014 though. Smile

I would love an advanced version off connect. Like where you could control the WHOLE game with your body. No controllers at all. :p
