(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Impressive figures have revealed that Black Friday deals have skyrocketed sales of Microsoft’s Xbox 360. The success of the seven-year-old console is showing no signs of slowing down, with over 750, 000 units sold last week.

Xbox Live Gold subscriptions have also increased by more than 50 per cent on 2011 sales.

The statistics were You must login or register to view this content. by Xbox Live's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb, demonstrating continued consumer interest in the “aged” console.

It's no doubt that Microsoft will continue to support the Xbox 360 well beyond the release of its next-generation console, continuing to please the new customers. Sony has You must login or register to view this content. to support the PS3 beyond 2015.

Incidentally, Nintendo launched the Wii U and sold 400, 000 new systems last week. Statistically, established consoles sell more units than those just launched, although one cannot help but acknowledge a difference in sales of 350,000 compared to the Xbox 360.

Xbox 360 sales are showing no sign of stagnation, and will continue to refute the claim that console gaming is dying.

You get 24/7 ps3 online as well unless there mantiance it is no different then 360 i still don't get it seems silly so you pay for gold to have to pay to use just about every other freeking service that just silly to me. What if i do not want to ever use any of those services no i still have to pay the same price really you never going to use them so whats the freeking point.

Do a barrel roll!
Im sure both PS3 and Xbox got major sales over black friday.. All the 10 - 12 year olds getting newer consoles..will happen every year. :p

Also, to everyone about the PS3 / Xbox debate, I have both and still prefer the PlayStation, more firmware updates over Xbox, that's for sure. :y:

Except while you may not be able to do it on ps3 you can do it other ways that prevents you from even having to pay for gold like using skype as an example and you do the same thing basically.
