Free 1 Month Xbox LIVE Gold Membership
Methods (10/01/2012)



Method 1: (Dashboard)

Requirements:
- Payment method linked to your account (Can be added at step 4).
- You must be on Xbox LIVE Silver membership (Ran out of Gold or new account).

Steps:
1. Sign into Xbox 360 on your account.
2. Press the big button in the middle of the dashboard!
3. Press upgrade to Gold.
4. Add a valid payment method if needed.
5. Go to You must login or register to view this content. and sign in.
6. Go to "My Account", locate auto-renewal and Disable it.

Method 2: (Internet Explorer)

Requirements:
- Internet Explorer app already installed.
- Payment method linked to your account (Can be added at step ).
- You must be on Xbox LIVE Silver membership (Ran out of Gold or new account).

Steps:
1. Sign into Xbox 360 on your account.
2. Go onto the Dashboard and go to the "Apps" tab.
3. Press on Internet Explorer.
4. It will inform you that you need Gold Membership to use the app, press "Get gold".
5. Press "A" 3 times.
6. Press "No thanks".
7. Then press "Start free trial".
8. Add a valid payment method if needed and confirm.

9. Go to You must login or register to view this content. and sign in.
10. Go to "My Account", locate auto-renewal and Disable it.

Was going to do this the other day but it asked for my card.. Didn't think to disable the auto-renewal lol.

You can also remove the payment method once auto-renewal is disabled.

If it doesn't let you on the website just give them a call and tell them you want your payment methods removed and they should do it no problem since its not being used in any transactions since auto-renewal was cancelled.

It doesn't charge you on auto-renewal until your current membership expires so you should be fine.

I cant believe you see threads for people buying 48 hours / 1months, then when a thread telling you how to easily get 2x 1month gold memberships for free no one even comments and it gets hidden...
