MSN Messenger's Service Stopped So anyone that has used MSN's instant messaging service in the past year will know that unfortunately it is coming to an end. This means that by 13th March, 2013 MSN will have closed down its service and moved the majority of its users over to Skype.
But how does this effect Xbox? Firstly, many of you 'oldschool' Xbox users may remember a dashboard update a long time ago that brought the MSN Messenger service over to Xbox Live. This feature will now be made redundant since the 'IM' is no longer going to be available. You may, or may not, also remember in 2011 Microsoft made a decision to purchased Skype for $8.5 billion which they said will replace MSN Messenger. How can we assume Skype will be present on Xbox and not just a removed feature? One way that we can assume it will be present on the new Microsoft games console is by a recent advertisement which has been spotted stating that they are looking for user-interface designer for the 'next-generation Xbox'.
