basically, i am going to buy a HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition and am wondering, when i play and record with it, will i still be able to play on my tv? or will i have to play off my computer screen?

the reason i am asking is because on my easycap i had to play on my computer screen, not sure why.

I currently own a Gaming Edition v1, and I'm assuming that the v2 will be the same.

Hauppauge will allow you to play on your regular screen when recording. This is done as you will plug your HDMI from your Xbox into your PVR, and then another HDMI lead will need to be plugged from your PVR to your TV.

(HDMI Cable 1: Xbox > Hauppauge Gaming Edition v2)
(HDMI Cable 2: Hauppauge Gaming Edition v2 > TV Screen / Monitor)

The picture on your TV should be like playing without the PVR plugged in but if you are playing through your recording screen you will see some noticeable delay when playing.

I presume they will provide you with 2x HDMI cables as when I bought the Hauppauge HD PVR GE v1 I got all the required cables even for the consoles I don't own.
