(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So my brother has a really weird problem with his Xbox when it comes to halo. Every time he plays it, the game counts down to zero, freezes and says the disk is unreadable. However, this happens on 4 different Halo games (2 different Halo 3 and 2 different ODST's, Multiplayer and campaign on ODST) I have put his profile on my memory card, ran it off that and still had the same problem. I ran his profile on my xbox and it worked. I ran my profile on his xbox and it worked. He ran his profile off my memory card without his HDD in and it worked fine. I then came to the conclusion that his profile clashes with his HDD but only for Halo and no other game. I told him to delete his profile and then recover it to see if it would fix the problem, and it didn't. I told him to format his HDD which he did and he still has the problem. My last resort was to rehash and resign it and it worked for a game and then stopped again. I told him to email Microsoft and he got a reply saying to clean the disk which was no help.
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what could cause it, how to fix it or what to do. He cant afford a new HDD and he only just activated a 12 month card.

+rep and thank to the person/people who help.

Get a good Halo 3/ODST disc, and then install to harddrive.

Then everytime you play it, play from HDD.

Yeah I installed my ODST to my HDD and it got rid of alot of lag on the firefight mode too. all my ODST friends did this and we have virtually no lag during any game play.
