Though my help is a little different because I use my computer monitor to play my xbox though HDMI, I dunno if you need two seperate monitors or not, that is my main question.

and if it can work with one monitor, what are some decent capture cards that will work with HDMI input for video and audio?

yeah you need 2 monitors i play off my monitor and use my brothers tv so im ok but i dunno about you =/
