Xbox Corporate Vice President Marc Whitten revealed on IGN that the Xbox will be able to work and use all it's core functions without the Kinect being connected to the console. Features like Voice Command and Player Identification will be unavailable due to this, but you will still be able to acess everything else the Xbox One offers.



Microsoft's decision to abandon the Kinect mandatory system opens a door to a Kinect-free Xbox One bundle. The original Xbox One bundle comes with a Kinect, controller, headset, HDMI cable, a free 14-day trial of Xbox Live, and of course the console itself.

Hahaha! Look, people are just pure stupid. Microsoft can no longer be trusted; they don't even support their own 'original' product. They're playing catch-up, trying to not get owned by SONY (which chose to support the gamers & not to be mother*fucking, greedy-ass money whores). I don't see why people choose to buy something that's not only more expansive, but also weaker in raw performance...

Well they are both money hungry. They Are billion dollar corporations after all. I just prefer what Sony is doing better. I'v always had a playstation as I enjoy there games more. I still don't know how someone can think xbox is the better chose this time. It's just blind faith people forgot what they where doing and forgave so quickly. It's funny how everyone was against it they change a few things that sony had from the start now xbox is amazing. haha.

massive fail! thats them crumbling! if the console was based on using kinect thats just made their whole xbox reveal pointless. in my eyes thats just another 180! i wonder what the devs who spent money on developing it are thinking, now their work is optional! what a pisstake!
