In Flames Much?
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Xbone for us not for you!

Microsoft's Major Nelson has been highly critical of the renaming by the gaming press of the xbox one to xbone. It's a nightmare for a company's public relations team along with a marketing plan made many months in advance. No surprise mainly due to the fact that the companies spent a pretty penny on a marketing campaign only for it to be tossed out the window by a fan made name.
However something curious has happened in the past couple of days, it appears the company has taken over the domain xbone.com.
The company did have a case in the *National Arbitration Forum back in June 2013 for a number of domains.
WHOSE records show that the company now own the domain. It's unknown that if the previous owner was handed some cash or was told to boot it.

Nokia's Halo Killer app?

Recent buying up of the Nokia handset arm by the company was muted in gaming circles however the adding of Kinect to the new console was not. A couple months back a leaked screenshot appear from a phone running windows OS on a Nokia phone. The version was meant to be a test build with what appear was an app called "zCortana,"
Halo players should notice that Cortana is an artificially intelligent character in Microsoft's Halo series.
With Microsoft focus on bringing windows to as many platforms along with other technology companies becoming more service based. It should come to little shock the company is working on a rival with Google now or Apple's Siri. Rumors is that it's going to be a service which does the same as it rivals the name also hints that the case.
Meant to be a shell service which is a core part of the OS using voice commands bing and a host of other features.
Add to the fact Steve Ballmer sent out a memo highlighting the company vision when it comes to cloud platforms, providing a shell service along with a strong focus on bing.
Credibility wise it's pretty strong we already know what this rumored system does along with real, given the fact the company also asked for the phone back.

Share your games but only on PC.

Sharing is caring, steam has released details for a beta client which allows account sharing.
Xbox one won't be launching with its content sharing system after dropping a ton of requirements.
It's curious to see valve go against the normal and be the first to do this. It allows you to share your library, without handing out your account information.
You can share accounts already on steam but need to hand out your information. Some users exploit recovery systems on console already bit like how one would share on steam.
However the valve system takes away a ton of risk of the account lost.
No word on why they have changed this policy but feeling is helping to reduce piracy rates. It also allows gamers to try out a game if they want to keep the game on their account buy it.
Maybe Microsoft had a idea for a future after all but failed in getting the terms right.
You still can't sign into two systems at the same time, a feature some PC gamers have been asking for due to the rise of tablet gaming.

Got game give us feedback

Chris Charla has also decided to reply to criticism from a number of indie developers saying in an interview with magazine edge.

“You know want? We love getting feedback and that’s the bottom line. We’re probably like a lot of companies, we love getting feedback from developers however they want to deliver it and we take it to heart. I would say all of Microsoft – the XBLA team and my new team, ID@Xbox, we want feedback and we want to always do better. Our goal is to lower friction for developers to get on the box,”

He is the current Director for ID@Xbox program a new program launched to respond to indie developer concerns. A large number of people have spoken out against the company which saw a couple big policy u-turns. Gamers responded with 'WHY YOU DON'T DO THIS TO START WITH' in my eyes that is a bit unfair the company has listened. Far quicker compared to some in the technology industry also responded pretty well.

Crackdown 3? Or something urban!

Black Tusk Studio is working on an xbox one title, all we know it's an 'urban action game'
And Tokyo Game Show is meant to be the place for new titles for the console along with general content.

That's all the xbox news for today hope you folks enjoyed reading it, I enjoyed writing this. Let me know what you think about the format Smile

Looking forward to reading your comments.

They cannot do anything about the media perception of their production, they are already in too deep with their failure to capitalize at E3. We will see the impact of such portrayals of the Xbox One when both consoles are released into the markets.

Do people forget what happened to the PS3? Winky Winky
I believe they can overcome it but won't happen for a couple of years. If they can get a ton of games out people are going to forget about the failure to start with.
