New gameplay footage for Fable Legends was revealed at Microsoft’s Xbox conference. We learn about the four heroes and their epic quest to save the world. But what makes this title so interesting is that the player isn’t stuck just playing the goodie-two-shoes.

You can choose to play the villain instead and strive to thwart the heroes’ quest at every turn. This kind of set up really reminds me of a tabletop RPG, with the player being able to take the role of a hero or Dungeon Master. The Fable Legends multiplayer beta starts this autumn.
