Climbing up the ladder
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); What's up guys?
I have been hearing a lot about the "AwesomenessTV Network", for some time now.
I decided to do some research on it, and found some problems. Before I actually looked into it, I applied, and got accepted... This was a huge mistake.

Here is where the problem is... The ToS, which no one ever reads, really screws you. If you were cautious, which I wasn't at the time, you would read this. But let's be honest, no one ever reads everything completely...
I went through it after a buddy brought it to my attention. Once I saw what it actually entails, I was livid.
I'm not going to explain everything, but I will talk about the biggest problems.

1. You are legally contracted with them. This means if another Partnering Network opportunity comes up, they have to agree to let you terminate your contract, before you can sign with someone else.

2. They get all the revenue you make. This means that all the money you make from monetizing your videos, goes to them. You are basically working hard, while they make all the money. Even though they claim to pay out 70% of your earnings, I have yet to receive anything, after 3 months of being with them. Nor have I heard of anyone else getting paid by them. If you are partnered with them, and have gotten paid, please correct me.

3. You are contracted with them for two years. After those two years are up, another two years starts. A written document needs to be provided by either side, to fully terminate. Sounds like a load of shit to me...

After all of this has been said, let me know your opinions on this network. If you do decide to go with them, good luck. Most people only want to be partnered because of the banner on top anyways.

Thanks for reading guys and gals,
- Zack.

I actually ended up destroying a channel of mine that had a lot of potential due to this hoax network. I contacted them asking how they would pay me and when considering they NEVER asked me for my payment information or anything related to payouts. They promptly responded telling me that I have to wait a reasonable amount of time and then they will proceed to ask for my payment information. Foolish of me to be so eager about that banner though when I could have been making money from that account.

I ended up making a new account because obviously I won't be getting any profit out of that account except for visual enhancement which has a little value I guess. Gladly, I got accepted into RPM who supposedly is quite a decent network and have a fair CPM so I'm assured to have a good journey with them. Their contract is only 1 year as well.

You guys should try for RPM. I think they lowered their requirements so I'm very positive that almost anyone who has a average Youtube account should qualify to join. And OP, I feel bad for you bud.

hiya i actually was surfing around and saw this. I feel like i am the only one around that actually likes them who does research and is a geek on youtube. Anyhow i am at least glad so see someone has done some research on it.

the only problem is the letter, but for me this is not a huge issues if one day i decide I hate them (not likely) I just send them a registered letter and wait.

Anyhow there is something else that I have been noticing that you can deal with. Firstly if you get as far as entering your digital signature you have signed up so dont sign their contract if you dont want to join, but in the application process (as with all networks actually) they ask you to link your channel initially (this is so they can see if you have strikes and other stuff) so then the automated system kicks in. If they forget to cancel that link you will receive emails and such.

Some people claim its an automatic partner, its not you have to sign the contract. So if you didnt sign it then you rejected their terms. You then reject the invite you receive after the fact and then wait a day and check your google account to see who has access to the account. If the system bugged out it didnt cancel its link with you just go in and remove them manually. login to your main google account and go to the area where you have settings and there is an option to see who has permission to see access you automatically and you will see a list. Just remove that link. Beware though this will only release your channel it wont give you back anything else.

Dont fill in your name or sign something you have not read properly ever this goes for anything.

that being said once youtube converts to the onechannel I think most of the issues will be gone. Myself I joined because I like their community and I enjoy their brand of entertainment and I create a series that is geared to that age group. I just wish people were not set on getting rich. FYI that series is not even monetized and never will be. I did not join for money or a banner I joined because I was actually a fan. That is the basic purpose of their network its a community building tool more then anything. Anyone trying to get rich should rethink that a bit if you have under 1k subs and only a handful of views you will not make money no matter what network you join (this is a myth). You would not make money as a straight up youtuber either.

So consider the reasons you are joining this network or any network. If its for financial gain or a banner think again. :/
