What i would say is saying you'll make an "awesome background" may come across as awesome to you but may be rubbish to someone else. From the previews you've shown in the link its not something thats impossible to replicate, theres nothing to suggest that your stuff is out of the ordinary. however i'd love to see more of your work to compare.

I never said they were bad, i just said that they weren't anything out of the ordinary, i was giving him some constructive critique. labeling something as awesome is a perception, he probably should of just specified what kind of designs he has done. i'd assume that your thumbs down implied you thought i was having a go at him when i wasn't. just trying to give some feedback, i thumbs downed your remark as you missed the concept of my post.

Some of his work is actually not bad like you said but to me theres nothing that makes me go "WOW thats good" obviously i have nothing to compare it to so i can't give an opinion other than my personal view rather than a balanced review. however i hope he keeps up the work and gets some good feedback from others



I will state infact that i do like the textures used in the 2D versions and the colors you opted for, i'm all for dark themes and the dark blues and reds are nicely done. theres a lot of my type of "tech" look about them which is very well presented and overall the graphics used aren't too bad, i like the hex one at the bottom of the 3D bit, but as i said most of these works are easy to replicate, however saying that your works are very high in quality and thats something thats difficult to replicate. I was in no way trying to imply your works are rubbish because they aren't at all, i was merely trying to point out that your perception of awesome maybe different from someone elses perception of awesome, maybe i should of expanded on my views in my original post.

My deal is, you're giving a critique without putting any of your work up to compare it too. You can't sit here and dog on someone if you're no better than he. In my opinion, he's really good and for being so cheap hes awesome.

I say, until you put out some of your own work.. Don't try to critique.
