When I used to do it (not sure if its changed now) Youtube had guides on how to use programs that they recommended.

You can use "Google Hangout" to stream and set your youtube layout to "livestream". They have an official guide on how to set it up You must login or register to view this content.. In order to fully stream on youtube, you have to be a full partner (No not one of those new "Monetization" partners).
