I'll tell you what worked for me. I'm currently sitting at 77,500 subscribers and around 6 million total views. These are a few things I have done and still do.
1. Upload content people want to see
- By this I mean don't go uploading some Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer Gameplay or some shit. Upload updated videos of games or whatever you plan on doing because it peaks the interest of people more so than some old stuff.
2. Correct titles
- Don't add too much bullshit to your title. Make it clear and to the point. Also make it about what the video is showing, don't misguide your viewers. Something you could do is improve on your titles. If you're modding then put BO2 Mod Menu or something along those lines in the title to draw more viewers.
3. Thumbnails!
- This is one of the mod important things you can do to draw attention to your videos. An eye catching thumbnail will always perform better than a thumbnail that has nothing to it, ie a screenshot from the video (YouTube suggested).
- Here are examples of a few of my favorite thumbnails that I have made.

4. Engage with your viewers.
- One thing I like to do is talk with my subscribers. Not only is it fun and cool, but they will often give you insight as to how you can improve or what kind of content that they would like to see. It is also a very kind gesture.
5. Be true to yourself
- Many modding YouTubers will make a new money lobby video (without removing the old one) every week. They do this so they can draw attention to themselves. Now in the short run this is a great idea but in the long run it will only lead to a channel with a lot of subscribers but with very few views as they are generally only subscribing to you because it is required to get into the lobby. Doing this is a scummy move. Not only is it scummy but when you post a video like that, you need to back your word up and host a lobby for the people who want to get in. If you end up getting haters, just stay true to yourself and keep doing you.
6. Repetition... Consistency... Repetition... Consistency...
- By repetition I in no way mean that you need to upload once a day, once every two days, once every three or even four. But you should try to get on a schedule of sorts. Even if you don't want to get on a schedule, try to plan on making at least one high quality video a week for your viewers. Never slack on a video, always put your time and effort into it because that is how you can drive people to your channel.
7. Do NOT do YouTube for money or 'fame'!
- Any successful YouTuber will tell you that if you start off doing YouTube with the mindset or plan of making money, you have already failed. Make videos because you enjoy making them. If you don't enjoy it then don't do it or switch up your content. The money will come in the future but you cannot be in it for money or "fame".
Hope this helps ya!
