Limera1n does not work with 2g Models! If you'll like to to Jailbreak your 2g Model on 4.1, I suggest you use Greenpois0n ([url]www.greenpois0n.com[/url]); Best Jailbreak out there for 4.1 and it's easy to use.

locked up my Iphone 3g on 4.1... had to pay to get it fixed

yes it can work for 4g as thats what i used on my ipod touch 4g...
for the 2g, sorry but to update your 2g to 4.X and then try to jailbreak there will make you lag so bad... i would look around for something for 2g (googles your friend =D ) but i think they are all currently tethered :(

Tethered means every time you turn off your IDevice(Iphone/Ipod) you have to re install the jail brake.
