I have recently ''Jail-broken'' my Ipod touch with You must login or register to view this content. , because personally I don't like You must login or register to view this content. , as it froze my ipod and i had to restore it . Well what I'm getting at is the crack in my screen. Yes i have a now HUGE crack in my screen. It started off as a minor crack, but has gradually got bigger over time. It has now got to the point were it is unbearable and looks tacky. And i was wondering were do i get a new screen to? I think i only need the glass, but i am afraid to go to apple, as It's ''Jail broken''. Please someone, could i take it to apple or would i have to buy it on E-bay and somehow fit it my self?

hey i had the same problem i had a craked screen and my ipod was jailbroken all i done was i took it to the nearest apple store closest to me they will by u a whole new ipod for the same price that u pay to fix it but they wont give u a old versoin they will give u the same versoin

Ok some, Either get a cheap one on your local kijiji or something. Or try and find a service that does. I have had many screen cracks and i have this guy on speed dial now xD

No. Apple can not find out if you have Jailbroken your iDevice or not.
They can't make a decent security system, and iOS 4.0 just shows that with the stupid PDF Exploit which brought Jailbreaking at a fairly easy attempt.

I can confirm now they will not be able to tell. However I recommend you do restore it so it has a boring black screen with the default Apple apps.

I suggest you go to the Apple store & give it a try. Your not going to buy a program it's just the outside of the Ipod so I don't think they will know its jailbroken. I think the cost to repair the screen is 20 bux.
