It does not ruin your iPod, it is not possible to transfer a virus from computer to iPod or iPhone range. If you don't like having a jailbroken iPod you can simply restore it.

Ensure your iPod touch or iPhone platform is older then a year (recommended) because Apple only provide your devices with a 12 month factory warranty.

Yes, you may be thinking, Applications are free upon jailbreaking with a program called Installous. You can download this through the program provided upon jailbreaking called Cydia.

If you are not happy with a Jailbroken iPod, you may restore it by simply plugging it into iTunes on your computer. Your factory warranty will be voided (which is why I recommended INDENT 2).

If your Apple Device breaks because of jailbreaking or you believe your iPod is broken because of I, Randomination, I will not be set to replace it, it is only but your choice.

Okay, let us get started now, firstly you must download GreenPois0n which is available on their offical website. You must login or register to view this content. Next step is to open the greenpois0n.exe file in WinZip and connect your iPod to the computer. Close iTunes if it automatically starts up.

Timing is everything when you are jailbreaking. Follow the instructions when you press Prepare to DFU Mode and here is a legend for what buttons are what;

iTunes should automatically detect your iPod or iPhone in recovery mode, do not press okay. If this message shows you have succeeded and if not you must keep trying.

Remember, timing is perfect.

When you successfully bring your iPhone or iPod touch into DFU mode, you will see a jailbreak button. Press and wait.

if i update my ipod software to version 4.2 the latest it will then now work?

Yeh.... i have a ipod touch but its not been updated so theres no apps or app store. S'all bullshit. Id love to be able to update and jailbreak
