(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I just got my iPhone 4 today. I tried jailbreaking with redsn0w and got that all done then my iPhone would not turn on! So I thought and thought.

I then tried these steps to restore it because I kept getting and error message when trying to restore.

1. Plug in your iPhine

2. Open itunes.

3. Hold home (middle button on the bottom) and the Power/Lock button (top right on the top of the iPhone) for 10-20 seconds. Now you say well thats 10 seconds how will I know when to let go. Well When you start to hold it it will pop up the apple sign. KEEP HOLDING past that and the connect to itunes logo will pop up. Then let go.

4. On itunes it will have a pop up saying your iPhone is in DFU or Recovery mod I forget which one.

5. Click okay.

6. Click restore and it will restore your iPhone back to new.

Thanks I hope this helps people out since I was very frustrated and did not want to call apple because it was recently jailbroken!

Thanks!

No you obviously never got this. I was running a jailbroken ipod fine. Then that happened. I tried doing that. When you just turn on you get apple logo then it turns off.

You wrote that you just had jailbreaked your iphone 4, turned it off, and then couldn't turn it on. Now you say it was an ipod.. If it was a iphone 4 you do exactly as I wrote.
And also, no need for this tut, everybody knows how to put there idevice in to DFU-mode.

Sorry iPod iPhone same thing. And this isn't putting it in DFU mode this is putting it in DFU mode and restoring because go try restoring when this happens you will get an error kthxbai. Now you have never experienced this so don't post.

When you enter dfu mode you do it because you want to restore and you atomaticly restore when in dfu mode, so this is a stupid thread.
How did you get an error? What was the error code? What did you do different that time from how you did it the other time?

Just admit that this post is usless and is a tut for dfu mode.

No it is not useless because I already helped people in an other ****ing thread. This thread is not useless you have never experienced what happens there for you should not be posting this is a useless thread because you make it sound all easy when sire it isn't because you get an error message in itunes when you try to enter dfu and restore. There has been many problems with this and the iPhone 4 enough to get it on the ****ing news so don't come saying this is a DFU mode tut and go play with yourself.
