There actually is a 4.2.1 jailbreak with redsnow but it is tethered. I jailbroke a friends 3GS with it. I don't really think a tethered jailbreak is really worth it tho. Glad I'm still on 4.1 with my iPhone 4 Happy

Wrong, it has been out for nearly two months now.

Yea tethered jailbreak has been out for a few weeks now with redsnow.
The only issue I can see there mate, causing you robe stuck is that you have selected the wrong ISPW file.
