if you try and update your idevice it will extract the firmware and when it gets to verifying with apple that when you get the error

Update: the error has now gone away and everything seems to be fine

so i went to contact apple and waited 12 minutes to connect to someone :evil: eventually got through and this is what they said...

(the photo says 6 minutes but i was there a lot longer...)

not a solution yet but he told me to send them a email and they will ring me tomorrow. lets hope the error gets sorted soon

I have never seen Apple support so cordial and obliging... I'm a certified Apple developer and, I can tell you, when it comes to getting your stuff on the store, they couldn't give a monkeys about you. I pay them $300 a year to develop on their platforms and make them thousands in app revenue, but can I pick up the phone and talk to the them when I have a problem? Nope.

I also had this error 2 times and I think it was because of the saturation of Apple servers
