When do you think untethered will be out mate?

Im gonna say there wont be. Its a small update and almost pointless I think, adds no real functionality to the device. untethered exploits need to be kept secret by the devs until the time an iOS update that is a big one is made, if the bug is still there we untether that one. People shouldnt of updated their devices, or should of saved SHSH blobs. as for new device owners most come on 5.0.1 or 4.3.5 still so its not a big deal

SHSH Blobs do nothing now because even if you have them saved you can't downgrade when you're in iOS 5. But if you're on iOS5 and you have save blobs from iOS4 you can downgrade to that.

If you have blobs you can always downgrade.

Just a quick question. If I have a Iphone4 that I updated to 5.1 but never saved any SHSH blobs is there a way I can downgrade? Maybe putting phone into DFU mode, shift restore in I Tunes and point it towards a 5.0.1 IPSW. will that work?

No you can't, the best option you have right now is doing this tethered jailbreak. :blank:
