ive been hearing alot about this SHSH blobs thing, not sure what it does exactly but from above i presume it allows me to downgrade?
If so is it possible to do this after you have jailbroke?, i have the untethered version of 5.01 redSn0w and if so how do i go about this?

That's correct you can use ifaith to get your shsh blobs and make your signed Ipsw (so you can downgrade in iTunes) ifaith is a pretty straight forward program and doesn't next explaining
