Well firstly, the added 1 gig of RAM will definitely be noticeable just like the new A6 Dual Core processor which makes the phone 2X faster than the previous generation. HAHAHA, don't even fuck around. I've owned the Galaxy Nexus, Samsung Galaxy SII & III, and the iPhone 3G/3GS/4/4S and now 5. The iPhone is without a doubt 20X smoother, faster, and just all around a better phone than the Galaxy Nexus/SIII. LTE wasn't really available everywhere last year, when Apple told carriers that they would put LTE in their new phone, all the carriers started rolling out LTE in more places.
"In all honesty the iPhone 5 isn't worth it. I believe it boots at 1.2 Ghz which is not amazing, especially comparing it to it's competitors (SIII, GNexus, just to name a few). The Android devices listed boot at 1.5 and 1.2 Ghz respectively, with the option of OCing if you've rooted your device (even if you jailbreak your iPhone there is no OC option). The additional ram is nothing spectacular as most of the new upcoming phones will come with AT LEAST 1Gb of ram. The GSIII, which is the iPhone's main competitor packs 2Gbs of ram if you have the US version I believe."
Do you understand that 1.2 Ghz and 1 Gig ram on the iPhone 5 is and always will be better because Apple's iOS is and always will be smoother then Android on any phone because it was made for that specific phone. Over clocking is dumb as shit, I've done it before and it's really not worth it. Samsung copied Apple countless times, and Apple already got their asses once with 1.2B in damages. 2 gigs of ram and yet my 4S runs smoother and faster...
"You honestly can't use cameras as a comparison, I mean, if you really care about that, buy an actual camera. You should only really use your phone camera for "oh shit" moments, and usually those don't need to be high def." You've got to be the biggest dumb ass ever if you say that "you can't use cameras as a comparison."
Obviously, you've never actually compared pictures taken by the Nexus/SIII to iPhone 4S pics. It's a noticeable difference, even without HDR. I use my iPhone to take all my pictures and videos. It's way more convenient than carrying around my Nikon. Sometimes it even does a better job then my $1200 camera. "oh shit" moments? I'm done...
"Apple's getting less and less creative with their new products and their "revolutionary ideas" are fading away. iOS 6 seems like a pretty insignificant upgrade, I'm still on iOS 4 and it's suited me well so far."
iOS 6 is a pretty significant upgrade. Maps, Siri coming to iPod touches/iPads, Passbook, FaceTime over 3G/LTE, FaceBook Integration, and a Panorama Camera. Need I say more?
You must have not tried the new JB firmware.
Android vs iOS is an old, opinionated argument. If you have iOS and think that it's faster, then good on you. What you don't realize you are restricted to a single layout that looks bland as shit. I honestly have no idea how people can call the layout on the iOS interface "nice" or "beautiful". There are no customization options and the look is more or less the same as the original iPhone.
Not gonna argue about the clock speeds, but if you've owned a Gnex and have used JB you wouldn't have made that argument. On other phones though, you're prolly right.
Even my old android was smooth as hell (Nexus S) and still is. If you're going to compare the speeds between the two OSs, then don't put widgets or any live wallpapers or any fancy launchers on your phone. The result will not be noticeable between the two.
iOS 6 is definitely NOT a significant update. Those features should have been integrated LONG ago. Apple can't make maps for shit. Siri for the iPad , especially the iPad 2 is long overdue. Facetime using data should've been included from the start. Facebook integration is not "game changing", I'm pretty sure users could share stuff on iOS before. Funny how you mentioned panorama in the same argument how android copied samsung.
It's just annoying to me how the "new" features could and should have been integrated into the last iOS. they save up all these minor changes, up the number from 5 to 6 and fanboys then think the new update is the greatest thing ever. It's not.
And even if apple supposedly spends a lot on their devices on "high quality materials", last I saw, iPhone screens still crack easier than eggs.
