Unless you're a hardcore phone user, the new upgrades won't be noticeable. If you're a hardcore user, you're better off getting an Android. Camera is explained later on. The LTE is the only thing that's even noticeable, but even that factor is long overdue.
In all honesty the iPhone 5 isn't worth it. I believe it boots at 1.2 Ghz which is not amazing, especially comparing it to it's competitors (SIII, GNexus, just to name a few). The Android devices listed boot at 1.5 and 1.2 Ghz respectively, with the option of OCing if you've rooted your device (even if you jailbreak your iPhone there is no OC option). The additional ram is nothing spectacular as most of the new upcoming phones will come with AT LEAST 1Gb of ram. The GSIII, which is the iPhone's main competitor packs 2Gbs of ram if you have the US version I believe.
You honestly can't use cameras as a comparison, I mean, if you really care about that, buy an actual camera. You should only really use your phone camera for "oh shit" moments, and usually those don't need to be high def.
What bothers me most about the iPhone 5 is that there is no increase in battery. Same as the iPhone 4, which wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing either.
Apple's getting less and less creative with their new products and their "revolutionary ideas" are fading away. iOS 6 seems like a pretty insignificant upgrade, I'm still on iOS 4 and it's suited me well so far.
iPod touch 5 looks dope though. But $300? Really?
