With iOS 6.1 brought some new minor features. The main feature is that it brings LTE support to more iPhone and iPad carriers. You can also now buy movie tickets through Siri (US Only), and the option returned to download individual songs from iCloud.
New privacy settings have been included as well like the option to reset Apple's advertising identifier option, a "non-permanent, non-personal, device identifier".
A new music playback control has also been added to the lock screen, and a back end change in Apple's mapping software.

Also confirmed, for users looking to jailbreak, it is safe to upgrade to iOS 6.1, but warns that these upgrades should be done through iTunes and not OTA. It is however, unclear if he means complete restore though iTunes or just upgrade. (@pimskeks)

I am so late on iOS :fa:. I'm still on iOS 5.1 untethered and haven't found an iOS 6 untethered jailbreak...

finally will be able to get of 5.1.1 on my 4s

Sunday will be good, i get my third iPhone 5 by this week.. duh.. I got no luck with the 5th..

I think we have been on iOS a pretty long time and we are the only ones that remember the "Sunday is Funday" thing. You must login or register to view this content.

Most of the shit won't be updated via Cydia so if you can wait, I'd wait a couple of weeks before updating. If you're already on that software update, fuck it. Jailbreak that hoe.

Although you're correct about a lot of tweaks have yet to receive a compatibility update... but I wouldn't advise waiting around to update. Its been pretty evident especially the last few times, that as soon as the jailbreak is released, Apple is quick to push an update. Also, recently, it seems Apple is also quick to close the SHSH Blob signing window for the previous version, as opposed to a year ago when they took a few days to close it. My advice is to update as soon as the jailbreak is released if you haven't already. Otherwise you'll be waiting for the next jailbreak which most likely will be released for iOS 7.
