I need some help with the topic in hand,
You see i'm going to get an iTouch but i'm slightly confused and need some answers:
1. How may genarations of iTouch are there?
2. Does both the 3rd gen and the 2nd gen have an external speaker or what?

Any help will be appreciated.

There are Three generations at the moment 1G, 2G and 3G

Only 2G and 3G have an external speaker.

just get the newest one I dont see the problem.
and the 1G doesnt have an external mic, not that its a problem personally

I'd get a 16gb or a 8gb because you won't need all that space and 8gigs and 16gigs are 2G's

There are 3 gens.
I have the 1st one, but I dont know if u can buy this one anymore.
The 2nd and 3rd gen has a speaker and u can here music without ur haedset.

cheers everyone, I was just unsure of how much space I would need, i'll probably just go with 8gb 3rd gen.

Like said before there is the 1G no speakers and slow 2G and 3G both have speakers.
